I decided to end this year with a royal 👑 on my blog. So I decided that the most talked about royal, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge would be the perfect round off for a good year.
Kate Middleton is the Duchess of Cambridge, spouse of Prince William, and mother of two adorable children, she is also the queen of sophisticated and elegant fashion.
A couple of items define Kate’s fashion and style, a gown, a hat, court shoes usually in nude color and a small purse.
What stands out about Kate’s style is her luxuriant brown chestnut hair usually styled in classy curls. The Duchess of Cambridge who is known for sometimes styling her hair usually leaves her hair styled loose or pulled back.
The beautiful royal loves the simple and demure look, and has made simplicity quite fashionable and a sought after look with many copying her style. Kate can color coordinate and even recycle her looks. With simple yet expensive statement accessories, Kate who has been clad in designer wears such as Alexander McQueen, Vanessa Seward, Dolce and Gabanna, Carolina Herrera, Altuzara, Lela Rose and Jenny Packham to mention but a few, has an unpretentious fashion and style.
According to her profile on Wikipedia, Middleton became prominent for her fashion style and has been placed on numerous “best dressed” lists. She was selected by The Daily Telegraph as the “Most Promising Newcomer” in its 2006 list of style winners and losers. Tatler placed her at number 8 on its yearly listing of the top ten style icons in 2007. She was featured in People magazine’s 2007 and 2010 best-dressed lists. Middleton was named as one of Richard Blackwell’s ten “Fabulous Fashion Independents” of 2007. In June 2008, Style.com selected Middleton as their monthly beauty icon. In July 2008, Middleton was included in Vanity Fair’s international best-dressed list. In February 2011, she was named the Top Fashion Buzzword of the 2011 season by the Global Language Monitor. In January 2012, she was voted ‘Headwear Person of the Year.’ Middleton was number one on Vanity Fair’ s annual Best Dressed lists in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013; she also appeared as the cover star in 2012. In June 2016, she took part in her first magazine shoot for Vogue’s centenary issue appearing on the cover of the magazine.
Kate Middleton knows what looks good on her and simply goes for it. In a world, where the current emphasis on fashion is mainly baring all, it is refreshing to find a strong female presence who owns her own style and doesn’t follow the dictates of modern fashion.
