Rihanna on British Vogue?

Rihanna has graced the covers of 3 British Vogue editions: November, 2011; March, 2014; April, 2016. So why the hype?
Aside being a stunning beauty and style icon and a beloved music artist, the cover currently making the rounds is the highly coveted September edition of British Vogue and Rihanna is its cover girl, making her the first Black woman to grace the fall fashion issue in the magazine’s history.

Rihanna always keeps us interested, from launching her lingerie line, to her sold out sneakers, to her Fenty Beauty color embracing lipsticks, to her fun Vogue makeup tutorial and out of the box, unique street styles, therefore the September edition is as intriguing as all things Rihanna.

The cover was photographed by Nick Knight and styled by British Vogue’s Editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful.

“No matter how haute the styling goes, or experimental the mood, you never lose her in the imagery. She is always Rihanna. There’s a lesson for us all in that. Whichever way you choose to dress the new season, take a leaf out of her book and be yourself.” – Edward Enninful, Editor-in-chief British Vogue.

    1. I think they were more after art than portraying her as the glamorous, beautiful superstar, besides we have seen her in all those looks. Most importantly, I also think that they emphasized Rihanna’s ability to look good in everything.
I however, agree with you. It’s not flattering yes but it’s captivating and interesting
