Yesterday’s Van meets Today’s Vans


Vans is an American manufacturer of skateboarding shoes and other apparels including clothing and accessories. The shoe brand is famous for its line of skateboarding shoes and the Old Skool skate shoes.

Recently, the shoe company partnered with the Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam to produce a line of footwear, clothing and accessories inspired by the famous works of Dutch Post-Impressionist painter, Vincent Willem van Gogh.

The new line of sneakers, shirts, hoodies, jackets incorporates some of Van Gogh’s famous works – the Sunflowers, the Almond Blossom, the Self Portrait as a Painter, Old Vineyard with Peasant woman, some of his letters and the Skull.

Vans in this new line which was made available just yesterday, has beautifully infused important signatures of art in the 1800s with contemporary fashion.
