Duro Olowu’s showcase for its Spring/Summer 2019 Collection was a more private viewing of the brand’s latest work.

The collection is a splash of vibrant colors, with the gold colored, leaf motif curtains serving as the perfect backdrop for the viewing.Duro Olowu’s classic cuts, refined style and artistic presentation sets this collection in a league of its own.

Comfort, is the main focus here, emphasized by the way the pieces are allowed to flow and be relaxed around the body, and where necessary, belts are effectively employed to define and embrace waistlines.

Fabrics are used more than once, but I think that the designer capitalized on this aspect to show that there can be many possibilities to a piece of material. I like the bold stripe shirt paired with a loose tea-lenght vinyl skirt, long sleeved blue maxi dress with floral motifs and the beautiful wooden bangles.

The collection works as an everyday wear and will also do well for artsy events.
