The Asian Collection is a clothing collaboration between the Woodin Fashion House and designer, Jane Michael.
Photographed by Kola Oshalusi and modeled by Telma Onyekashi, the Asian Collection is a purely African inspired work from the fabrics to the name, Asian – meaning “Yanga” from the Ibibio language spoken in some southern parts of Nigeria.
With some of its designs drawn from the famous ‘aso-ebi’ styles, the Asian Collection stands out for its bold prints and colors, its use two piece clothings, tiered trains.
The bold eye makeup and bob hairstyle with fringe, is incidentally reminiscent of modern oriental looks but the bold sleeves, peplum details and ruffles are definitely an aso-ebi inspiration making the Asian Collection ready for any “owambe” party.
A few days ago I saw a fashion women’s website with not only beautiful clothes but also readers’ advice on recent fashion. Really super useful.
