The 2019 Met Gala was held on Monday. The The Costume Institute Gala at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is the biggest fashion high class event hosted and it has been hosted by US Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Monday’s Met Gala theme was Camp: Notes on Fashion; it was hosted by Anna Wintour, Lady Gaga, Serena Williams, Harry Styles and Alessandro Michele.
From Celine Dion’s bedazzling silver dress designed by Oscar de la Renta to Lady Gaga’s four outfit changes, the fashion and style surprises from the steps of the Met Gala kept coming. The men were not to be outshined however, Harry Styles delighted in a ruffles, pearl and heels while his co-chair Alessandro Michele’s pink ruffled jumpsuits and silver floral headpiece was a fine compliment to Harry’s.
But was it just me who feels like some of the outfits worn by the attendees were last year’s leftover from the theme, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.
