Where Art meets Gele/Ichafu

IMG_20190528_034653_480.JPGI discovered Nigerian artist, Clement Mmaduako Nwafor through @turbanistaparis. I immediately proceeded to visit his Instagram home @clemspeter_art and I was excited to see his art works.

IMG_20190528_034710_315.JPGClement works with oil paints on canvas. Among his popular works are paintings of African women wearing the traditional Gele/Ichafu. He sometimes incorporates pieces of fabric into his paintings turning the paintings into a masterful mixture of oil and collage.
We are all for his paintings of women in Gele because it is as if the women are wearing wispy magical crowns on their heads😎.
