That is “olden days fashion”, we used to say. Yesterday’s olden days fashion has become our today’s trends.

I saw this photo on @vogueeko of a fashion model wearing a pinstriped power suit. The model, @mahoganys_glo styled her hair in single knots that are unique and an ode to the famous traditional African styles of the 50s to 70s. It got me wondering, if I had to choose, what olden day hairstyle I would wear with a power suit?

To set this off, I compiled some styles from the good old days of fresh, innovative and architectural Nigerian hairstyles, all thanks to the lasting memories left behind by the late Nigerian photographer Johnson Donatus Aihumekeokhai Ojeikere also known as J.D. ‘Okhai Ojeikere.

So which of these hairstyles do you think will fit your powersuit?
