…. and she was called “Mermaidia”
This collection is certainly not ready-to-wear but it is an eye catching and interesting fashion and art perspective on the most controversial water life – the mermaid.
Set against a background of brown fish scales, Weiz Dhurm Franklyn partners with Kelly Green (@kellystrophq) to capture the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2020 Collection.
The brand plays with different colors, black, pink, orange, white, brown and yellow but sets an overall ominous and enchanting style. We see hints of the mermaid in the collection, in the fin-like shoulder details, gill shaped sleeves, a string fish net dress, a drawing of a red haired mermaid.
Even when inspired by a timeless creature of the sea, the brand still incorporates pieces from today’s world, black leather, PVC, illusion neckline and assymetrical skirts.
The collection features bustiers, capri pants, a leather biker jacket, pants and blouses.
