I bought this gorgeous green leather bag for just N500.00 (about 2 dollars). I was broke at the time but I just could not pass up the crowd of women and girls and the Okirika seller screaming “your fine fine bags here, only N500!”.
My new year resolutions include overhauling my ‘safe fashion’ and practicing some chic, cool fashion stuff that I preach. So I just joined the crowd, determined to find something that I could salvage. Walking home, I prayed that a scarf, ribbon and some buttons would do the trick.
Luckily I found the ribbons and buttons at home, washed the bag and went sewing.
